The gold-standard credential for nurse informaticists. Requires an active RN license plus informatics practice hours.
CAHIMS
Entry-level health IT certification from HIMSS with no work-experience requirement. A great first credential.
CPHIMS
The professional-level HIMSS certification for health IT and informatics roles, once you have some experience.
AMIA Health Informatics Certification (AHIC)
An interdisciplinary informatics credential from AMIA for professionals with informatics experience.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
Learn how product teams plan and prioritize work. Useful for clinical product manager roles.
CAPM / PMP
Project management credentials from PMI. Strong for implementation and program roles.
Epic certification
Usually sponsored by your hospital or an Epic customer. Raise your hand for super-user or build roles to get there.
